Website Design for Rehabilitation center

While working at Bitwise Industries in Fresno, I designed the look and feel of the Vocation Plus Connections website and created the homepage. Vocation Plus Connections is a Rehabilitation center in Fresno, California, dedicated to supporting individuals with developmental disabilities by providing vocational training and community engagement opportunities. I also mentored another designer during this project, guiding them through the creation of the internal pages as part of their learning experience.

OBJECTIVES

To create a welcoming, accessible homepage that clearly communicates the organization’s mission while mentoring an apprentice designer to develop the internal pages.

STRATEGY

I focused on crafting a clean, inclusive design for the homepage, selecting a color palette and imagery that conveyed warmth and accessibility. While designing the homepage, I provided mentorship to the apprentice, ensuring the internal pages adhered to the established design principles, offering them a practical learning experience.

RESULTS

The completed website offered Vocation Plus Connections a professional and inviting online presence, successfully communicating their mission. The apprentice gained valuable hands-on experience in web design, creating cohesive internal pages under my guidance.
