About the Project
EZOZ was a web application designed to facilitate information collection and management for investors interested in Opportunity Zones across the U.S. This project was created under Bitwise Industries for New Energy Nexus, with the goal of supporting clean energy entrepreneurs by guiding them through the process of setting up Qualified Opportunity Zone Funds. It aimed to empower investors by providing them a platform to easily manage and organize investments into low-income urban and rural communities while benefiting from tax incentives under the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act.
OBJECTIVES
The primary objective was to develop a web app where investors could easily onboard, register their accounts, create multiple projects, and upload necessary documentation. In addition, administrators required an intuitive dashboard to manage and oversee all the projects and ensure compliance with the Qualified Opportunity Zone Funds setup process.
STRATEGY
I collaborated with the team at Bitwise Industries to create a user-friendly onboarding experience for investors. The web app included project management features, a secure file upload system, and a comprehensive admin dashboard for system administrators to manage users, projects, and documentation. The interface was designed to be intuitive, allowing investors to navigate easily and upload essential documents for project approval.
RESULTS
The web app successfully streamlined the onboarding process for investors, enabling them to quickly create projects and track their investments. Administrators found the dashboard highly effective in managing large volumes of projects and ensuring smooth operations. This platform helped simplify complex financial transactions, ultimately promoting the growth of clean energy investments within Opportunity Zones.
